From a handful of maple burl to a lifetime in veneer.
For years, Tom made functional woodworking pieces, including cabinets, tables, and benches. Then a neighbor from a wood products company handed him a small bundle of maple burl veneer and showed him how to laminate it to plywood.
That first remote-control box sparked a new fascination. Friends began asking for their own pieces, and Tom began sourcing veneer that might otherwise have been discarded. Today, the sheets in his shop represent only a fraction of the material he has gathered over the years.
As a woodworker himself, Tom understands the pull of taking an idea and making it real. He is happy to help with wood selection and practical questions about your project.
